HCCI Employee Orientation: Week 6

This week you will dive into the coding, billing, and compliance essentials that keep house call programs running smoothly. You’ll learn how we train providers and their teams to code with accuracy and meet legal and compliance requirements.

Learning Objectives

  • Upon completion, you will be able to:
    • Describe foundational and advanced coding practices in home-based medical care, including risk adjustment and HCC coding.
    • Cite compliance requirements and legal considerations in billing for home-based services.
    • Explain how to document and manage care for patients enrolled in chronic and transitional care management programs.

Audience

These online courses and educational resources are intended for physicians, advanced practice providers (NPs, PAs), nurses (RNs, LPNs), practice managers/administrators, social workers, residents/fellows, medical assistants, and other practice operations staff.
