Schaumburg, IL (January 26, 2023) — The Home Centered Care Institute (HCCI), a national nonprofit, has appointed three new members to its Board of Directors from diverse healthcare sectors such as primary medical care practice, technology, and entrepreneurship.

The new board members are:

  • Christopher (Chris) Dodd, MD, Chief Medical Officer of PopHealthCare and its value-based national medical group, Emcara Health. He has overall accountability and oversight of all clinical functions and leads the company’s effort to scale its national network of home-based advanced primary care medical practices.
  • Deborah J. (Debbi) Gillotti, Chief Operating Officer of nVoq Incorporated, a privately held supplier of speech recognition software to the healthcare industry with a strategic emphasis on in-home healthcare. As COO, she oversees corporate strategy, sales and marketing, customer experience, and product management functions.
  • Sidnee Peck, a fractional executive and Entrepreneur in Residence for multiple startup companies in healthcare, manufacturing, and agriculture. She also serves on the board for yesAZ, a startup community nonprofit, and Alaris, a technology company she helped to co-found.

HCCI’s current board members remain in place with these three additions.

“We greatly appreciate the commitment and wide-ranging expertise that Chris, Debbi, and Sidnee, are sharing with HCCI and our entire Board of Directors at such a critical time for the healthcare industry,” said Julie Sacks, President and Chief Operating Officer of HCCI. “Every day, we see more providers, patients, and payers, including Medicare and private insurance companies, becoming more involved in this movement toward home-centered care. Like HCCI, they recognize that house calls are the future of healthcare, not a relic of times past. These three new board members share that passion for a better healthcare system and are joining an organization dedicated to improving health outcomes, offering a better patient and caregiver experience, and decreasing overall cost through home-based primary care.”

HCCI provides education, consulting, and research to medical and practice operations professionals offering home-centered care, including home-based primary care, hospice and palliative care, and other fields. HCCI’s vision is a future of healthcare where all those in need of house calls get them.

“We look forward to working with Chris, Debbi, and Sidnee, and are grateful they are willing to share their time and deep knowledge with us as HCCI works to advance the field of home-based primary care, and fulfill our mission of ensuring that every patient in need has access to quality medical care in the home,” said J. Richard Maybury, Chairman of the HCCI board.
